Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) announced today that it will spend about $ 400 million to establish a new chip research and engineering center in India.
The center will be located in India’s main technical hub, Bankarore, and will become AMD’s largest chip design facilities. AMD chief technical officer Mark Papermaster said, "AMD increased from several employees in India in 2001 to more than 6,500 employees today. Our development is based on the solid foundation and high -skilled talent pool established by our local leadership."
